In March 2006, Paul Hannon, the archivist of the 43rd Reconnaissance Regiment History Group, visited Scotland to research the 'Derrycunihy', which was built at Burntisland Shipyard. The shipyard site is now owned by Burntisland Fabrications Ltd, who were kind enough to give Paul a guided tour of the site. In the photo above, Paul is pictured in the old shipyard boardroom, which is still clearly in good hands under its new owners. The much older photo below shows Sir Wilfrid Ayre, founder of Burntisland Shipyard, at his desk in the same room.
