Notes - Bentfield stretched from the junction of South Greenmount Road and the Lochies eastwards to the town's cemetery. The name disappeared when it was incorporated in the current Kinghorn Road which now runs from the East Porte to the cemetery. The Bentfield buildings, mainly detached and semi-detached stone villas and bungalows, have hardly changed - though the few gas lamps have obviously gone, as have many of the railings seen here, which were removed during World War II for munitions manufacturing. Kinghorn Road also includes the former Buccleuch Place, Craigholm Crescent, and Gladstone Terrace, as well as Bentfield.
