The Palais de Danse

For many years, locals and visitors alike gathered at the Palais de Danse in Manse Lane
"Where youth and pleasure meet
To chase the glowing hours with flying feet."

The advertisement and the picture of the Adelphi Novelty Band are taken from a Burntisland Official Guide of the 1920s. The Palais continued for many years after that, giving enjoyment to thousands. The building has now gone but the name lives on, with the  Palais Steps providing a convenient short cut from the town centre to Manse Lane.
